European Centre for Dispersion Technologies

The European Centre for dispersion technologies (EZD) is an interdisciplinary research and technology transfer centre whose focus is on creating and characterising dispersions. To be able to offer these services in the fields of research and development, consulting and analysis to industry, the EZD has available a competent team and three fully equipped state of the art laboratories. The EZD is a facility of SKZ - Das Kunststoff-Zentrum that is headquartered in Würzburg, Germany.

The EZD focuses on the following areas: 

• Formulation: Stabilising micro and nano dispersions as well as surface modification of functional fillers
• Dispersion processes: Process optimisation and efficient preparation of dispersions
• Analysis: Particle characterisation and assessment of dispersions using practicable methods

Knowledge transfer is another main focus. This means that the EZD offers about five seminars a year on the topic of dispersion that link theoretical and practical aspects.
