The North European Initiative Nanotechnology (NINa) is a competence network connecting partners from research, industry and public institutions across Northern Germany and the Baltic Sea Region. The initiative strengthens nanotechnology as a key enabling technology and supports knowledge exchange, networking and joint strategy development. Experts from materials science, life sciences, maritime technologies and power electronics collaborate to advance research into real-world applications. A strong focus on cross-border dialogue enables shared perspectives, coordinated innovation pathways and long-term international partnerships, strengthening innovation capacity across regions.
