nEcoTox GmbH is a small, owner-managed company that focuses on the ecotoxicological and physicochemical characterization of nanomaterials. It was jointly founded in 2015 by Dr. Ricki Rosenfeldt and Dr. Frank Seitz as a spin-off of the Institute of Environmental Sciences at the University of Koblenz-Landau. Two years later, the company moved into its own office and laboratory premises in Annweiler. Since then, the young and dynamic company has grown continuously. It now has six employees with different scientific expertise in the fields of ecotoxicology and risk assessment as well as chemical analysis and environmental behavior of nanomaterials.
With highly modern laboratory facilities and a close, scientific connection to well-known, regional research institutions, nEcoTox GmbH offers its customers a broad and up-to-date spectrum of test and analysis options. In addition to the implementation of standard test procedures, e.g. for the registration of nanomaterials according to OECD or ISO specifications under REACH, this also applies to tailor-made tests in the field of research and development (as happened, for example, during the EU Interreg project PHOTOPUR, or the BMBF project ProCylce).
In addition, the company is involved in several nano-associated networks and associations (NanoGeoTherm, Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, nano in Germany e.V., EcoLiance Rheinlandpfalz e.V., Verband der Chemischen Industrie).
nEcoTox GmbH is known for its high-quality work, reliability, and customer focus.
