The Innovation Alliance Carbon Nanotubes (Inno.CNT) was a closely connected research association in which around 90 well-known partners from science and industry were actively working together in the period 2008-2012. Inno.CNT was part of the federal government's high-tech strategy and was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of the framework program "Material innovation for industry and society". Further information can be found in the image brochure (only available in German).

Through intensive cross-linking of all 27 Inno.CNT projects, the entire know-how of the partners could be used more effectively and synergies could be generated. Above all, connecting the cross-sectional technologies with the fields of application was an optimal framework to combine basic research with concrete application and market needs within the project cluster and to develop economically promising solutions.

The Network NanoCarbon is committed to ensuring that cooperation and results do not simply end with the completion of funding phases and was founded to sustainably link experts and expertise within the nanocarbon community. Within this framework, the knowledge generated in Inno.CNT will continue to be made accessible to the interested public. Since the Network NanoCarbon was founded in 2013, we have been working continuously on utilizing the excellent material properties of nanocarbons in marketable applications and products.
