OTH Regensburg - Competence Center Nanochem

The Competence Center Nanochem is a research cluster of the OTH Regensburg. In this working environment, research projects are carried out in close cooperation with the industry in Regensburg and the surrounding area.

The roots of the competence center lie in the degree programme microsystem technology, which was offered nationwide for the first time at the University of Regensburg in October 1990. Over the years, a strong cooperation with the relevant industry has developed, especially in the field of chemical analysis and chemical process technology. In order to make the cooperation with our partners more effective, the Competence Center Nanochem was founded in autumn 2007.

Nanochem offers services for industry. Highly sensitive chemical detection methods can be applied in the clean room laboratories of the OTH Regensburg. In addition, numerous systems from the semiconductor industry are available that can be used to manufacture pre-series of various components or prototypes in small quantities.
