LUM GmbH

LUM GmbH was founded in 1994 by managing partner Prof. Dietmar Lerche as an innovative development, production and service company. The head office is in Berlin.

The company has a branch in France and three subsidiaries, LUM Corporation, USA, LUM (Changzhou) Instruments Co. Ltd, China and LUM Japan Co., Ltd. in Tokyo, Japan.
LUM GmbH has a highly qualified, interdisciplinary team of scientists, specialists and engineers and has decades of scientific and metrological expertise in:

• Particle characterisation
• Analysis of suspensions and emulsions incl. stability assessment
• Determination of joint strength and layer strength
• Quality control and procedural optimisations.

This knowledge and its continuous expansion forms the basis for customer-oriented problem solutions, product development and services for our domestic and international customers, who are active in large industrial, foodstuffs, cosmetics and pharmaceutical companies and increasingly also in the academic area.

In the meantime, the innovative "made by LUM" analysis devices are standard equipment in many R&D and QC departments. In line with our motto The Next STEP in Dispersion Analysis and Materials Testing, LUM instruments enable our customers to develop and roll out new and improved products.
