The European Centre for Dispersion Technologies (EZD) in Selb is an interdisciplinary research and technology transfer center focused on the production and characterization of dispersions. EZD was established by the industry and the Cluster Nanotechnology, led by the Plastic Center SKZ, and opened its doors in Selb in 2014. EZD serves as an interdisciplinary research and technology transfer center with a primary focus on the production and characterization of dispersions. To offer these services to the industry, EZD has a competent team and diverse equipment in modern laboratories. EZD deals with various aspects, including modification and optimization of functional fillers to improve their dispersibility. Additionally, topics related to process engineering, such as energy-efficient dispersion and upscaling of dispersion processes, are addressed. EZD also has an excellently equipped analytical center that offers various methods for the characterization of dispersions.
