A look back at a successful nanoInk network meeting at TH Nuremberg

Many thanks to all participants and contributors for the exciting exchange!

The focus of the nanoInk network meeting on March 10, 2026, was internal professional dialogue on the topics of circular economy & bio-based materials, process technologies, smart textiles, and functional inks. Our network partners began with short presentations on current projects, new ideas, trends, and market observations on these topics. These insights were then explored in greater depth during open discussion rounds.

The interdisciplinary exchange between partners across the entire value chain proved highly valuable, bringing together diverse perspectives and advancing the development of innovative approaches from research to industrial application. The insights gained will now help shape the strategic direction and thematic priorities of the network nanoInk.

Also participating in the meeting was our new network partner DITF and the Nuremberg-based start-up Droptical GmbH. Matthias Leininger and Jonas Heelein presented their developments and products for the application of liquid systems and the characterization of printing processes – an exciting presentation that offered valuable starting points for future collaborations. We look forward to further exchanges!

And many thanks to our network partner TH Nürnberg for hosting our meeting!

The next network meeting is expected to take place in July. Please contact us if you are interested in collaborating with or within the network and would like to introduce yourself to the partners.
