Global Food Summit 2026

How can nanotechnologies help make the food industry more sustainable, safer, and fit for the future? What innovative applications are already under development, and what potential do they offer companies across the entire value chain? The event "Nano meets Food – Innovations for the Food Industry"—organized as part of the Global Food Summit initiative—addresses these and other future-oriented questions; it will take place on October 19, 2026, at the Alte Kongresshalle in Munich.

The event brings together experts from academia, industry, start-ups, the policy sector, and innovation support, creating a platform for interdisciplinary exchange at the intersection of nanotechnology and the food industry. It focuses on current developments, practical application examples, and new opportunities for collaboration between companies and research institutions.

The event is aimed specifically at companies in the food and nutrition industry, technology providers, start-ups, research institutions, universities, and associations, as well as representatives from government and the public sector. In addition to high-caliber expert presentations, the program offers diverse opportunities for networking and for initiating new collaborations between the innovation ecosystems of the food industry and nanotechnology. The Nanotechnology Cluster is supporting the event as a cooperation partner; together with the Perikles Project and the Nutrition Cluster Bavaria, it is contributing its expertise at the intersection of innovation, technology transfer, and networking.
