Under the guiding theme of industrial transformation, the industry's thought leaders presented their technologies and ideas for the factories, energy systems and supply chains of the future at the Hannover Messe 2022. In Hall 2, the Future Hub, the Cluster Nanotechnology and its co-exhibitor Nanosurf were represented at the joint stand of Bayern Innovativ.
The exhibits of the cluster illustrated how the ambitious climate targets can be better achieved through efficient solutions using nanotechnology: For example, a bipolar plate as the heart of a fuel cell for e-mobility. By using novel graphite-based composite materials, bipolar plates become more corrosion-resistant and cheaper than those made of previously available materials.
In addition, a heating element equipped with carbon nanotubes for curing fiber composites attracted many visitors, with which special components can be processed in an energy-efficient manner by precisely fitting heating. The flexible heating mat adapts to the required shape and can be easily transported, so that mobile use – for example for repairing wind turbines – is also conceivable in the future. You can find more information about the "Smart Membrane" here.
Last but not least, brightly lit moving LEDs, combined with nanosilver-based screen printing ink printed on canvas, drew attention to the stand and also led to many good conversations.
In addition, the cluster and its partners were represented with three presentations at the tech transfer conference stage as part of the Future Hub, one of three conference stages of the fair. The lectures are available on the Hannover Messe website!
To view the lectures, you only need to register once free of charge with your e-mail address at the fair.
