Research and Teaching in Bavaria

The University of Augsburg, the University of Bayreuth, the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (LMU) and the Technische Universität München, the University of Regensburg and the University of Würzburg are working in science and engineering science fields on nanotechnologies and the analysis of the characteristics of nanostructures. With Nanosystems Initiative Munich (NIM) and the Center for NanoScience (CeNS) two excellent and highly application-oriented research associations are available in the Munich-Augsburg region and with the Cluster of Excellence Engineering of Advanced Materials one in the Erlangen-Nürnberg region.
